Over the past few years, I have been the sole author of the liblog—short for "liberal arts web log"—writing various pieces that express my personal reaction to the new information, ideas, and arguments about liberal education and how it can be strengthened. The purpose of the liblog is not to mark out official Foundation policy, but rather to provide a forum to ask some questions, to suggest some possible answers, and to provoke further discussion on liberal education and how we can improve student learning. While I will continue to post liblog entries on a regular basis, I will also include, from time to time, entries from other authors who have something to say about liberal education that I feel will be of great interest to liblog readers. I hope you will find our posts stimulating enough to share with friends and to post your responses, whether you agree or disagree. We look forward to hearing from you.
