Desiree Vazquez Barlatt

Desiree Vazquez Barlatt joined The Teagle Foundation in 2012 as Program Associate and was promoted to Program Officer in 2015. In this capacity, she assists in grant-making and oversees the College-Community Connections program. She also serves as Secretary of the Board of Directors.

Prior to joining the Foundation, Desiree served as a student activities advisor for New York University's Center for Student Activities, Leadership, and Service. She also spent several years supporting the operational efforts of Teach For America's New York regional office. Desiree is an alumna of Coro Leadership New York, a program for mid-career professionals immersed in New York City’s social, political, and economic issues. She earned her M.A. at New York University in Higher Education/Student Personnel Administration and graduated with high honors from Rutgers University with a B.A. in Communication.
