East Harlem Tutorial Program

Grant Summary

$75,000 over 36 months to East Harlem Tutorial Program’s College Access and Success Programming. EHTP provides “College Life” workshops, SAT test preparation, college visits, and mentorship for its high school participants. It also offers a Summer Institute that serves rising 9th through 12th grade students on the campus of Hunter College to build their academic skills and to receive additional instruction on writing and standardized test preparation. Incoming first-year college students participate in a month-long summer transition experience, which covers topics on college life and academic survival skills. Once the semester begins, they receive ongoing academic and career advising, tutoring support, and mentorship.
