Grant Summary

$310,000 over 36 months to support the National Blended Course Consortium (NBCC) in its design and distribution of four hybrid courses: “Stewardship of Public Lands," “Economic Inequality," “Introduction to Citizenship," and “Global Challenges." Course materials will be made available to AASCU members as well as non-member institutions. Participating institutions will offer the courses as a normal part of their catalogues. Faculty members will provide the face-to-face interaction that students need to be fully engaged learners, and have the flexibility to adapt course modules to reflect their expertise and interests. NBCC will devise new tools to track student learning and performance in its courses across institutions, collecting data on student grades, learning outcomes, satisfaction, engagement, and retention in partnership with faculty and institutional research offices.
