Grant Summary
$300,000 over 36 months to support a partnership between Fordham University and BronxWorks. The History Makers Scholars Program is divided into two experiences: an intensive five-week summer component and a series of workshops offered throughout the academic year. The summer experience combines academics in the classroom, field work, research, group projects, and a week-long, residential research project. It is facilitated by Fordham faculty as well as undergraduates serving as college mentors. Academic year programming provides workshops hosted on Fordham campus and includes an exploration of all aspects of the college application and selection process as well as the college experience.
