Grant Summary

$90,000 over 12 months to support the Leading to College (LtC) program, an intensive collaboration between Brooklyn College, CAMBA, and the School for Democracy and Leadership (SDL). This program aims to increase student and family awareness about college and enhance students’ capacities to succeed in college-level work. From their sophomore through senior years, LtC students enroll in a carefully chosen series of pre-college and college credit courses, in which they interact with and are supported by undergraduate tutors, faculty and staff at Brooklyn College. Students and their families also receive continuous support and information from CAMBA staff and take part in informational and social activities tailored by the program partners and proven to promote success. Brooklyn College and CAMBA intend to work with CUNY’s Collaborative Programs Research and Evaluation Team to share information and evaluation reports about LtC throughout the CUNY network. They will also work toward sustainability planning for the future of their collaboration.
