Grant Summary
$25,000 over 12 months to design a twelve-credit applied humanities certificate program that will offer students the opportunity of a common intellectual experience in the humanities and a pathway through the General Education Program aimed at developing skills in humanistic thinking and tools for engaged citizenship. The centerpiece and intellectual core of the certificate will be a new three-credit course for incoming first-year students tentatively entitled Cultural and Social Foundations.
