Grant Summary
$25,000 over 12 months to redesign the university’s required English 1007 First-Year Writing (FYW) Seminar into a gateway experience organized around common readings and explore providing more coherent experience of general education through two possible strategies: clusters of three general education courses organized around a common theme and designed to satisfy UConn’s new Topic of Inquiry requirement for general education; and thematic tracks of writing-intensive general education courses that culminate in a Writing minor.
