Grant Summary
$25,000 over 12 months to develop a new first-year elective course that meets the university’s Writing, Reading, and Inquiry II requirement. Students will then have the option to complete a thematic cluster of general education courses organized under the rubrics of Ethics, Technology, and the Human Future; Justice, Law, and Ethical Leadership; War, Migration, Catastrophe; Gender, Bodies, & Power; and Democracy, Citizenship, & the Public Good. Students who complete the 12-15 general education sequence will be designated as Cornerstone Scholars on their transcripts.
