Grant Summary
$250,000 over 24 months to embed shared readings in gateway Composition I and II courses, which are required of all incoming students, and to develop and expand Cornerstone-designated sections across general education in disciplines such as philosophy, history, humanities, and communication. These new pathway courses will emphasize sustained engagement with transformative texts and discussion-based pedagogy beyond the first-year gateway experience, while also connecting humanities inquiry to career-relevant fields such as business, health, and public service.
