Grant Summary
$300,000 over 42 months to implement, “The One and the Many at BU,” a three-week summer seminar that takes low-income high school students in Boston through a thematically designed course that moves “from the subject of self-discovery and self-definition to a focus on the individual’s role in society and obligation to the community.” “The One and the Many at BU” was developed in partnership with Summer Search Boston, a local mentoring, leadership and educational provider with an expertise with high school students and will be the first humanities-focused summer program that BU has offered to high school students.
