Grant Summary
$250,000 over 36 months to give promising underserved high school seniors from the surrounding area of Queens an opportunity to participate in a three-week humanities seminar, where students will study humanity’s deepest questions about leading lives of purpose and civic responsibility, and a year-long college support and civic engagement program. Queens Community House in partnership with LaGuardia Community College is now prepared to implement all of the components of the Knowledge for Freedom Initiative, serving students from Queens.
