Grant Summary
$25,000 over 12 months to SEO-Skidmore Connections, the College-Community Connections program between Sponsors for Educational Opportunity (SEO) and Skidmore College to enhance the college readiness of talented but underserved high-school students from New York City. Through this partnership, SEO students enroll in Skidmore College’s residential Pre-College program in the Liberal and Studio Arts. During a five-week experience, students engage in two credit-bearing courses: a writing seminar and a course of their choosing in the humanities, social sciences, or natural sciences. This transition grant will allow the program to run for a final summer.
