Grant Summary
$10,000 over six months to the Alliance for Higher Education in Prison (AHEP), a national consortium that promotes the expansion of quality higher education in prison, supports students in prison and after release, and encourages public discussion about education and incarceration. AHEP will host the seventh annual National Conference for Higher Education in Prison in Arlington, Texas in November 2017. The conference aims to address the work, needs, and interests of higher-education-in-prison practitioners and features panel discussions, plenary sessions, resource exchanges, and community building.
