Grant Summary
$400,000 over 36 months to develop comprehensive transfer agreements in sociology and psychology to promote transfer access from two-year community colleges to four-year independent colleges in North Carolina. North Carolina Independent Colleges and Universities (NCICU) has established the Independent Comprehensive Articulation Agreement (ICAA), which commits the baccalaureate institutions to accept the general education requirements completed by students in the North Carolina Community College System as fulfilling general education requirements at their own institutions. This project builds on the ICAA to establish discipline-specific pathways that enable community college transfer aspirants to come into the independent colleges with junior status in their majors.
