Grant Summary
$25,000 over 12 months to plan for and begin to implement the STAR (Study, Think, Act, and Reflect) Program, a general education experience targeting students in STEM and Business at Northern Kentucky University (NKU). The STAR program includes a two-semester, six credit sequence of gateway courses: ENG 101-STAR (Writing for College and Beyond) and ENG 102-STAR (Writing and Research). The Pathway will include three Humanities in General Education courses plus a reflective STAR Capstone course (10 credits total). Stacked together, the gateway and pathway courses plus capstone will result in an undergraduate STAR certificate that will appear on official transcripts.
